Michael Klinkner is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.  He completed his Master of Social Work Degree at West Virginia University after completing his Bachelor’s degree at Washington and Jefferson College.  Michael has received specialty training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Enhancement Therapy and Neurolinguistic Programming.  Michael is also certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

Michael has been dedicated to helping people find balance for over 16 years.  In addition to outpatient services, Michael teaches graduate level courses for the School of Social Work at Arizona State University.  He consults and provides supervision to hospitals and outpatient facilities in the Phoenix area.  Michael has provided individual, group and family therapy to clients that are seriously mentally ill, have sexual offense histories, substance abuse issues, prostitution histories as well as clients with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.  Michael has presented at a variety of national and international conferences and workshops about a variety of topics. 
Michael believes that therapy is about finding the inner strengths inside of yourself that can allow you to become the person you want to be.  Whether you are healing from wounds from your past or looking to write a new future, change is possible.  No two people go through this process in the same way, everyone's journey is very unique.
Michael has been married for over 12 years and has two amazing daughters.  He enjoys exercise and traveling in his free time.
